This tool features hundreds of abrasive "balls" mounted on a flexible shaft, making it a breeze to use. For used barrels, start with the Medium-Coarse hone followed by the Fine hone to remove rough and tight spots and achieve a bright finish. You can even run a patch through the barrel before and after honing to see and feel the difference. On new barrels, use the Fine hone by itself to create a beautiful, mirror-bright finish. To use, simply chuck the Flex Hone® into a variable speed electric drill, wet the hone with Flex Hone® oil, and insert it into the barrel from the breech end. As it cuts, a slurry of abrasive and oil develops to speed up the cutting action. The Flex Hone® is available in sets and individual hones for 10, 12, 16, and 20 gauge barrels, as well as .410 bore.
