Looking for an easy and effective way to clean and polish older barrels or put a mirror finish on new ones? Look no further than Flex Hone®, which features hundreds of abrasive "balls" mounted on a flexible shaft. To clean used barrels, start with the Medium-Coarse hone followed by the Fine hone to remove rough and tight spots and bring the bore to a bright finish. You'll be amazed at the difference before and after – just run a patch through it. For new barrels, the Fine hone will bring the factory finish up to beautiful mirror-bright quality.
To use Flex Hone®, simply chuck it into a variable speed electric drill, wet the hone with Flex Hone® oil, and insert the hone into the barrel from the breech end if possible. As it cuts, a slurry of abrasive and oil develops to help speed up the cutting action. Flex Hone® is available in sets and individual hones for 10, 12, 16 and 20 gauge barrels as well as .410 bore. There are also special-sized hones for 10, 12, 16, 20 gauge chambers and .410 bore. Instructions are available to guide you through the process and ensure a perfect job. Make sure to use Flex Hone® oil – all other oils will destroy the abrasive "balls" and void the guarantee.
Note that the maximum RPM for Flex Hone® is 750, and it's recommended to avoid excess pressure. Check out the Flex-Hone PDF for more information.
