The shank is a one-piece, looped and wound design, not two pieces twisted together and chopped off. Our Nylon Bore Brush can endure the aggressiveness of new generation bore cleaners designed for copper and bronze-based bullet jacket fouling without causing scratch damage to accuracy. Our nylon brushes won't cause accuracy-ruining scratches. The steel shanks in our brushes are one-piece, looped, and wound, except for the Black Powder (BP) series, .17 caliber, and .20 caliber, which have brass shanks.
