The shank of these brushes is made of one-piece, looped and wound steel (not two pieces twisted together and cut). Our nylon bore brushes can withstand new generation bore cleaners, which are as hard on bronze cleaning brushes as on copper and bronze-based bullet jacket fouling. They will not cause accuracy-ruining scratches. Except for Black Powder (BP) series, .17 caliber, and .20 caliber, which have brass shanks, all brushes come with one-piece, looped and wound steel shanks.
