The Geissele Reliability Enhancement Kit comprises two upgrades for the 5.56mm AR-15 pattern rifles: the Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (REBCG) and the Geissele Super 42 Braided Wire Buffer Spring & Buffer, which are available in H1, H2 or H3 configurations. This kit guarantees the most reliable operating system upgrade for your carbine after many years of extensive testing and fine-tuning. The kit is manufactured in Geissele's manufacturing facility located in North Wales, PA.
The REBCG is a high-performing, full-mass, full-auto rated M16/M4 bolt carrier group crafted from mil-spec 8620 steel. The carrier features a properly torqued and staked, chrome-lined gas key, while the cam pin is machined from H13, a type of medical steel that is coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance. The upper rails on the carrier are extended to provide more stability and feeding reliability. The carrier is also coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance.
The Geissele Stressproof Bolt is made from Carpenter 158+, a special heat of material developed by working closely with Carpenter Steel metallurgists in Reading PA, to produce a special heat of material known as Carpenter 158+. The bolt is forged using the same process used to produce upper and lower receivers, which manipulates the grain structure of the metal, yielding a bolt 5 times the life of a mil-spec bolt. The bolt is then rigorously inspected, high pressure tested, mag particle inspected, and coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance. Nanoweapon is a family of coatings similar to DSL that was developed by Picatinny Arsenal (US ARMY ARDEC) and is only available exclusively from Geissele Automatics.
The coating is applied at low temperatures and has a surface hardness equivalent of 82HRC, making it harder than sand, easily rejecting carbon, and allowing the firearm to operate normally with less lubrication. The coating is the pinnacle of coatings for firearm components, offering the highest level of corrosion, wear, and abrasion resistance.
