This product replaces the bolt carrier and seals the upper receiver, making cleaning from the breech safer and more effective than cleaning from the muzzle. It includes a solid aluminum rod guide to prevent damage to the throat and chamber, and rubber "O" rings to keep bore cleaning solvents from getting into the lower receiver.
It is normal for bore guides to have small areas of unanodized material at the rear end where they were attached to the dipping fixture during anodizing.
