The cartridge case in this design is fully supported and properly aligned with the sizing bushing before the sizing process gets underway. This design concept is similar to that of Reddings Competition Seating Die.

While the sizing process is in progress, the tightly chambered, sliding sleeve supports the cartridge case as it moves up, while the resizing bushing self-centers on the case neck. The decapping rod remains precisely aligned by using the internal parts of the die as a linear support, much like that of a firing pin. The micrometer adjustments of the bushing position delivers precise control over the desired amount of neck length that needs to be sized.

These dies have been created specifically for use by competition shooters who have carefully prepared their cartridge cases and don't need to use a sizing button. Carbide size button kits are available separately however. Bushings and shellholders can be bought separately.
