The Sinclair Two-Piece bore guide system is designed to facilitate optimal alignment of the cleaning rod with the bore by utilizing a guide within a guide. The guide body is placed into the action and seals the chamber with an O-ring, similar to a standard bore guide. A separate guide is then inserted into the rear of the guide body to offer a slip fit for the cleaning rod. The 8" insert is snugly fitted to prevent the rod from bending and to keep it centered, minimizing contact with the rifling during cleaning. To use, choose the appropriate guide body to match your rifle's chambered cartridge, and then select the insert that has the right inside diameter to fit your rod. Both the guide body and insert are made of Delrin material with rubber O-ring seals to prevent solvent from entering the action. The bore guide bodies are specifically intended to fit Remington 700 and other rifles with .700" diameter bolts.
