They can be affixed to either of our comparator bodies and are custom-machined to accommodate specific shoulder angles of cartridges. The gages give a better, more convenient reading by indicating off of the case's shoulder, as opposed to the datum line, revealing the extent of how much you are actually sizing your cases. For bolt action rifles, we suggest between .001" to .002" bump, while for AR-15 type rifles, we recommend between .003" and .005" bump.
