The Apex Evolution IV Hammer for Smith & Wesson N-Frame revolver enables the user to lighten the trigger pull weight by modifying the strain screw without compromising reliability. It is a semi drop-in replacement for the factory hammer, but minor fitting might be necessary. The strain screw adjustment leads to a reduced trigger pull weight. The hammer also converts the revolver to Double Action Only(DAO) and has no hammer spur for cocking. Note that it only functions with current production S&W N-Frame centerfire revolvers.
