The room temperature chemical used by gunsmiths and industry to blacken aluminum parts. It restores scratched and marred areas quickly. Its fast-acting liquid is easy to apply with no dimensional change. Color will vary from deep gray to black depending on alloy. Aluminum™ black metal finish is also excellent for blackening name plates, plaques, trophies and other engraved items.

Note that Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black is designed specifically for use on aluminum surfaces, and may not work as well on other materials. It is not recommended for use on blued or other types of steel surfaces, as it is formulated specifically for use on aluminum.
