The shank of the brush is made from a single piece of steel, looped and wound, unlike other brushes that are created by twisting two pieces together and cutting them off. Our nylon bore brushes are specifically manufactured to resist the harsh effects of modern copper and bronze-based bullet jacket fouling, and they won't create any scratches that could ruin accuracy. These brushes have one-piece, looped and wound steel shanks, with the exception of the Black Powder (BP) series, .17 caliber, and .20 caliber brushes, which have brass shanks.
