The JEM 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety is made from solid barstock and is slightly oversized in critical areas to allow for a custom fit on a 1911 pistol frame. Its beavertail is wider than the frame and can be fit into the frame instead of the reverse. The grip safety is longer at the bottom with an angle that adequately fills the frame gap. The safety has a reamed pin hole of .158 inches and a .250-inch radius with an enlarged contact pad for positive engagement. It is designed for high-cut frames and will require blending. The safety fits all JEM frames and 2011 High-Cap STI pistol frames.
