Forster's Precision Bushing Bump Dies are unlike traditional neck style or full-length style bushing dies. These dies are polished by hand and do not resize the body of the case. Instead, they size the case neck and adjust the headspace length. They come equipped with a decapping assembly that lacks an expander ball, meaning that the diameter of the internal neck is only determined by the bushing that you select.
Forster's dies only work with their own bushings and cannot operate with Redding or Wilson bushings. When selecting a bushing, it is best to choose one that is approximately .002 inch smaller than a loaded round's measurement at the case neck. Bushings can be purchased in increments of .001 inch and must be obtained separately.
