The SMC Plate Carrier is a highly advanced design from Grey Ghost Gear that has been developed over the past 2 years. This carrier is ideal for lightweight, combat-ready situations and it is tailored to carry a pair of 10x12 hard plates or most large SAPI plates. Users can choose to add side plates for extra protection by utilizing the MOLLE/PALS style webbing on the cummerbund. There is also an open front panel pocket that can be used for water bottles or to store gloves and hats.

The SMC carrier is adjustable to fit a wide range of body types and it is designed with adjustable shoulder straps and cummerbund. In case of emergency, ROC buckles are located on one shoulder strap and either side of the cummerbund can be rapidly released. Additionally, the YKK Zippers and webbing on the back panel are designed to attach back panels specific to the mission ahead.

The SMC carrier is made for enhanced comfort with breathable mesh in the cummerbund and inside faces of the carrier body. Additional padding is enclosed in tweave to create air channels that wick away moisture. The carrier features six rows of MOLLE/PALS style webbing with built-in matching loop material on the top three rows for the option of attaching patches or ID panels.

The carrier is made from laser-cut laminate nylon that offers all the modularity of traditional MOLLE webbing at a fraction of the weight. The laser-cut edges do not fray and increase the carrier's longevity.

The SMC Plate Carrier is designed for body armor only and does not include soft armor or plates. It is not meant for extreme exercise with heavy weight training plates.
