The Haley Strategic Partners Flatpack 2.0, Backpack in Gray (model number FP-2-1-GRY) is a purpose-built assaulter pack that has been used for over 8 years by U.S. and NATO Special Operations Forces. Its unique zippered expansion system allows it to convert from a flat profile to a 150% increase in storage volume when fully expanded.
The main zippered compartment of the Flatpack has a convenient peel-open design, allowing for quick access and easy identification of essential equipment. The interior of the main compartment is equipped with VELCRO® Brand loop panels on the front and rear, which can securely hold the suite of Flatpack Accessories (sold separately), such as Small Clear Top Bags, Large Clear Top Bags, Garment Bags, and other hook-fastened accessories. There is also an interior zippered admin pouch designed to accommodate Flatpack Level IIIA Armor Inserts (sold separately) or hydration bladders, making it versatile for various needs.
In addition to the main compartment, there is a second full-depth zippered compartment in front, providing extra storage space. A third admin zippered compartment is located at the bottom of the pack for storing smaller items. The Flatpack comes with a chest strap for added stability and comfort when carrying heavier loads. It also features comms/hydration loops on the shoulder straps and drainage grommets at the bottom of the main compartment for use in wet or humid conditions. For those seeking even more comfort under heavier loads, the Flatpack Back Pad and Shoulder Pads can be added (sold separately).
