The handguard provides enough space for even bull barrels to free float, and Magpul L5 and L3 rails can be mounted on the forend using the available mounting holes. The MDT LSS Chassis is a one-piece assembly that accommodates any collapsible AR-15 buttstock for compact versatility, or a fixed buttstock using a fixed stock adapter. Any AR-15 pistol grip can be used, but those without a beavertail or with a soft, bendable beavertail are recommended for the best fit.

For the Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard Short Action stocks, MDT Polymer or Poly-Metal magazines are required. The Howa Mini Action Chassis uses factory Howa magazines.
