This storage-capable version of the CTR® features a compact, reinforced polymer A-frame design with an improved cheek weld, and two water-resistant battery tubes which are shielded by an operation lever and a supplemental friction locking system. This design helps to prevent accidental operation and minimize excessive stock movement, ultimately enhancing weapon stability and accuracy.

The STR also incorporates two integral sling loops, a reversible push-button QD sling mount, and a replaceable 0.30" rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage, even with body armor or modular gear. Both the push-button QD sling mount and sling loops are compatible with Magpul ASAP®, ASAP® QD and other receiver-mount sling attachments.

Made in the USA, this multi-role AR stock mounts on commercial-spec sized carbine receiver extension tubes from various manufacturers such as Bushmaster, DPMS, Olympic, and others. The Magpul STR Carbine Stock - Commercial-Spec has two water-resistant battery storage tubes located on the left and right sides, each of which can store up to two (2) CR123A lithium or AA batteries. Tubes are accessible from the rear in any stock position via a hand-removable rubber plug.

To prevent snagging and accidental operation, the STR has a shielded release latch, while the supplemental friction lock minimizes accuracy robbing wobble. This rifle stock also features a replaceable 0.30" rubber butt-pad that offers an anti-slip surface and increases impact protection. Additionally, this AR stock is suitable for many rifles, including AR10, AR15, M4, M16, M110, and SR25.

NOTE: There are two basic sizes of M4 Carbine receiver extensions (buffer tubes): Mil-Spec and Commercial-Spec. If you have a Mil-Spec extension on your rifle, make sure to order the Mil-Spec STR.
