RCBS Steel Neck Bushings are designed to provide the right amount of tension for bullets when using RCBS Gold Medal Match sizing dies. These bushings can be easily interchanged, allowing reloaders to choose the bushing that provides precise tension. The use of Steel Neck Bushings that fit precisely reduces work hardening of the case neck brass, which prolongs case life and improves accuracy.

These bushings are self-centering, ensuring proper alignment with the case neck. For optimum performance, high-end brass with consistent neck thickness should be used. You will need to oil the bushings before use because they come in-the-white, meaning they are bare steel.

RCBS recommends selecting neck bushings one to two sizes above and below your target diameter. This will help you create extremely consistent shooting ammo with your Gold Medal Match sizing dies.

Brownells Gun Tech Tip: To select the appropriate steel neck bushings, there are two methods. The first method is to measure the outside neck diameter of your loaded cartridge and subtract .002" to .003". This allows approximately .001" of brass to spring back for correct neck tension. The second method is to measure the neck wall thickness of your case, multiply by two, add the diameter of your bullet, and subtract .002" to .003".
