Our Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides are designed to fit into your action instead of the bolt or bolt carrier. They have a snout with an "O-ring made of silicone that is inserted into your chamber, effectively sealing off the barrel from the receiver. This prevents gun cleaning solvents from leaking back into the action area and causing damage to the trigger assembly. We offer over 1000 "O-ring rod guides that fit specific actions and cartridge families ranging from .17 up to .338 caliber. However, some rifle chamberings are not compatible with this type of rod guide, so we recommend our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides instead.

To better serve our customers' cleaning needs, we have upgraded our Sinclair "O-ring rod guides to now include integral solvent ports. This improvement is included in every centerfire bolt action rod guide, as well as most AR style rod guides. If you prefer a rod guide without an integral solvent port, please contact us by email or phone and we will gladly provide you with the desired option. Please note that these rod guides without solvent ports are considered semi-custom and may take 2-4 weeks for delivery, but there is no extra charge for this feature.

Please note that FN versions of the Model 70 do not all have .700 bolt diameters, and they have FIXED ejectors that require a slot to be milled down the length of the rod guide body. As a result, any Model 70 made after 2010 that has FN and not Winchester New Haven Connecticut stamped on the receiver will require a CUSTOM ROD GUIDE, and you must verify the bolt diameter.
