We offer Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides that can be placed in your action instead of your bolt or bolt carrier. These guides have a snout that has a silicone "O-ring attached to it and can be inserted into your chamber to seal the barrel from the receiver. This prevents solvents from spilling back into the action and causing issues with the trigger assembly. We have pre-designed "O-ring rod guides available for over 1000 different action/cartridge combinations that have been machined to meet specific needs from .17 up to .338 caliber.

However, not all rifle chamberings are suitable for "O-ring rod guides. For these cartridges, we recommend using our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides.

In order to cater to our customers more efficiently, we have equipped our Sinclair "O-ring rod guides with integral solvent ports. This is an upgrade that now comes as part of every centerfire bolt action rod guide and almost all AR-style rod guides too. If you would prefer a rod guide without an integral solvent port, please get in touch with us via e-mail or phone, and we'll be happy to make one for you. However, these rod guides will be considered semi-custom, which means they might take anywhere from two to four weeks to be delivered. There won't be any additional charges for rod guides without integral solvent ports, though.
