Our Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides are specially designed to serve as a replacement for your bold or bolt carrier. These guides have a snout that has a silicone "O-ring, which can be inserted into your chamber to create a seal between the barrel and the receiver preventing any solvents from leaking back into the action area, which can gum up the trigger assembly. We currently offer "O-ring rod guides for over 1,000 different action/cartridge combinations, and each guide is machined to fit specific actions and cartridge families from .17 up to .338 caliber. However, some rifle chamberings do not allow the use of an O-ring-style rod guide, so we recommend one of our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides in these scenarios.

To better serve the cleaning needs of our customers, we have upgraded our Sinclair "O-ring rod guides to include integral solvent ports. This upgrade is now included with every centerfire bolt-action rod guide and almost all AR-style rod guides. If you prefer a rod guide without an integral solvent port, please contact us via email or phone, and we will be happy to provide you with a rod guide of your choice. Please note that rod guides without solvent ports will be treated as semi-custom products, and delivery may take 2-4 weeks. There is no additional charge for rod guides without integral solvent ports.
