The Sinclair Heavy Varmint Shooting Rest series is an upgrade to the Generation II shooting rest, which is now discontinued, and our Competition Shooting Rest, which is popular among today's benchrest competitors. The Heavy Varmint Shooting Rests are equipped with better hardware, like a heavy-duty stainless steel center column and 1" stainless post, an oversized scalloped handwheel with a thrust bearing for smooth vertical adjustments, large ½"-20 thread rest feet with oversized aluminum anodized knobs (no plastic parts), and a fully adjustable forend stop for consistent results. The base is made of ductile cast iron construction with a durable powder coat finish that lasts a lifetime, meeting the high standards that all Sinclair manufactured products are known for. These shooting rests weigh up to 17 lbs with a filled sandbag and are designed to stay in place on your benchtop. The Sinclair Heavy Varmint Shooting Rests are available in 8 different configurations, and our reloading and shooting techs can help you choose the right one for your needs. You can choose from the following models:

1. Sinclair Heavy Varmint Bench Rest: This model is ideal for shooters who like using Protektor or Edgewood front sandbags. The rest top side plates allow you to adjust the bag width to your liking. Purchase the front Protektor or Edgewood sandbag that fits your forend width best: sporter, varmint, or flat-bottomed B/R stock (front sandbag not included with Sinclair Heavy Varmint Bench Rests, please see page xx and order separately).

2. Sinclair Heavy Varmint All-Purpose Rest: This model has a versatile All-Purpose (A/P) Top that can quickly adjust to fit almost any forend. You can switch from narrow sporter stocks to 3-1/2" BR stocks with the turn of a lever. The Sinclair Heavy Varmint All-Purpose Rest comes with a dual-sided leather/cordura sandbag (not filled).

3. Sinclair Heavy Varmint Basic Rest: This model has a flat-top plate that can accept Protektor and Edgewood front sandbags or any other preferred brand. The flat-top plate allows you to securely strap the bags. The front sandbag is not included in the Sinclair Heavy Varmint Rests, please see page xx and order separately.

4. Sinclair Heavy Varmint Bench Rest and Heavy Varmint All-Purpose Rest: Both models are available in a windage topped version. This adds the convenience of quick-adjust horizontal movements for competitive shooting by turning the windage knob on the side of the rest top. The windage topped version is available for both right-hand and left-hand shooters.
