Introducing the ATLAS R-ONE, the latest addition to Aero Precision's Handguard collection. Built using 6061-T6 Aluminum, the R-ONE handguard line is perfect for lightweight builds, thanks to its compact design and lightweight construction. The company's proprietary ATLAS attachment system is a sturdy and reliable mounting platform that maintains a streamlined form while delivering the toughness and durability that Aero Precision's handguards are known for.
Choose from KeyMod and M-LOK profiles, with options for 12-inch and 15-inch lengths (7-inch and 9-inch options are also set to be released soon).
The ATLAS Taper Lock Attachment System comes with 2 mirrored tapered locking nuts, providing even distribution of clamping pressure, and secures the handguard with a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent firmly locks the design in place, adding to the system's stability during installation. The uniform pressure of the system reduces distortion of the handguard that is commonly seen in other applications during installation.
The purchase of an ATLAS Handguard comes with all hardware mounting parts. The KeyMod and M-LOK profiles come in different weight options, with 7-inch weighing 5.12 oz and 5.22 oz, respectively, culminating in 9.07 oz and 8.96 oz for the 15-inch handguard profile. The mounting hardware weighs 4.72 oz and is consistent with all ATLAS Handguard options.
Other features include a top picatinny rail for additional attachments, an easy to use QD sling socket at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, compatibility with low profile gas blocks, and a 1.3 inch inside diameter, with a 1.5-inch outside diameter. The ATLAS Handguard is designed to fit perfectly with Aero Precision's M4E1 Threaded Upper Receivers, and it is compatible with any Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receiver.
