The aluminum mount is lightweight and can be attached to AR-15 handguards. It provides a quick and sturdy mount for a variety of accessories, such as lights, forward grips, bipods, and tripods. This mount fits standard, round, plastic, AR-15, and CAR-15 handguards without the need to remove the heat shield. However, if it is to be used with M4 handguards, the heat shield must be removed. This mount can be attached to both top and bottom handguards and it accepts Weaver-style accessories. With an adapter, the mount is 4 inches long and can accommodate 2" diameter aluminum float tubes. It also fits standard handguard.
