Forster's hand-held neck turning tool is designed to improve cartridge-to-cartridge consistency. The tool includes a carbide cutter, with a micrometer-style adjustment knob that allows for precise material removal. This ensures cases have consistent wall thickness, resulting in improved bullet-to-bore alignment. The tool features an aluminum holder that securely holds cases with a simple turn of the knob, accommodating up to .592" base diameter. For larger cases, a separate larger case holder is available, accommodating base diameters from .593" to .812". A specific pilot is required for each case mouth diameter, which are sold separately and can be seen in the table below. The pilots are precision-ground and are .002" to .0025" smaller than the bullet diameter.
