The MDT ESS uses the proven V-block bedding system from the MDT to provide a stable and reliable base for the rifle action. There are several improvements to the magazine well, including reduced rattle and movement, as well as a new semi-flush, ambidextrous paddle release that can be used by both weak and strong-handed shooters. The recoil lug mortise is designed to fit most aftermarket recoil lugs, while the trigger area can accommodate most aftermarket triggers.
