The SL-K is a compact buttstock designed as a replacement for the AR15/M4 Mil-Spec carbine buffer tubes. It is particularly ideal for users who prefer a small, lightweight stock or for compact PDW style weapons. It features a shorter and slimmer profile than the standard stocks, which makes it easy to handle, and a smaller rubber butt-pad, which provides a sure grip and easy shouldering. The stock also has a footman's loop, which has the ability to accept an optional M-LOK QD Sling Mount for push-button style QD sling swivels.

The SL-K also comes with a new, unique, ambidextrous release latch, which minimizes rattling on the receiver extension without needing extra locks, levers or springs*. It provides an anti-snag, dual-side release latch, which allows easy adjustment while remaining anti-snag. Also, sloping cheek weld combines a slim profile with user comfort.

The SL-K is compatible with Magpul ASAP® and ASAP® QD, and other receiver-mounts 1.25" Footman's Loop for sling mounting. It also accepts the M-LOK QD Sling Mount for push-button sling attachment (sold separately). The compact rubber butt-pad also offers an anti-slip surface and increases impact protection.

The SL-K is designed to fit Mil-Spec sized carbine receiver extension tubes which are not included. The stock weight without the receiver extension is 7.9 oz, and its adjusted weight with the receiver extension is 11.9 oz. It has an LOP Adjustment Range of 3.3 inches and a Length, max of 6.5 inches with a Height of 4.2 inches. It has a platform AR10, AR15, M4, M16, M110, SR25 Compatibility.

In conclusion, the SL-K is better than its competitors in that it is lightweight and compact, making it easy to handle. It is also compatible with various types of receiver-mounts, allowing for greater flexibility, and has an adjustable LOP range which enhances user-friendliness. Additionally, the stock's impact mitigation is better than its competitors due to the compact rubber butt-pad, which has an anti-slip surface that provides increased protection.

Note2: There are two basic sizes of M4 Carbine receiver extensions (buffer tubes): Mil-Spec and Commercial-Spec. The MOE SL-K will only fit with the common Mil-Spec tube.
